2. What are the factors that affect the climate?
  • The factors that affect the climate are:
    • Distance from the sea (like Coastal areas are cooler and wetter than inland areas)
    • Ocean currents
    • Direction of prevailing winds
    • Shape of the land
    • Distance from Equator
    • El NiƱo

  • San Miguel, Bulacan has a Type I climate. There is a distinct dry and a wet season – wet from June to November and dry, the rest of the year. But as time goes by, it became a little bit harder to determine the type of climate due to recent changes with the weather affecting the climate

It is the first typhoon to make landfall since this year's rainy season began in June. It is comparable to typhoon Millenyo due to its great damage in affected areas
  • Typhoon Matmo or Henry is a tropical cyclone with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph over the northern portion of the Philippine Sea. It didn’t affect most of the places in our country because it continued to move toward Extreme Northern Luzon until it left the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
  • Typhoon Inday is a tropical Cyclone with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph and gustiness of 90 kilometer per hour. This typhoon is not likely to make a landfall but it enhanced the southwest monsoon.
